Yesterday, Jake and I
taught our last English class to the older campers, while Angela and Shane
taught the younger children in our group. The lessons went quickly, and through games
our group of children learned about Geography, colors, and reviewed
clothing. It went by so quickly that it
was hard to believe it had lasted a complete hour. After our sessions, we recievved feedback
from Nandin, Mogie and Kitaho on how they thought the sessions went. Nandin was
the camp teacher that had facilitated the social skills lessons and observed
our English classes. She had amazing things to say, and was extremely happy and
supportive of how the lessons went. She also was very interested in continuing
the social skills lessons assuming that she could get the right resources, (the
social skills books).
